Job DescriptionJob SummaryPerforms diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Will perform a variety of routine and complex testing ranging from waived to high complexity testing in all sections of the laboratory including Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology. Participates in patient testing, quality control, CAP surveys, policy and procedure development and equipment maintenance.COMPANY DESCRIPTIONFrye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. Essential Functions

• Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Performs quality control testing.

    • ASCP preferredMinimum Education
      • Associate's degree required
