hour for working nightsPosition Summary:Planning and implementation
of the interdisciplinary plan of care, provide direct nursing care,
and instruct/supervise the LPN and Hospice Aide staff in the
delivery of nursing care to clients.Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:Practices within the scope of license,
certification or registration, where applicable, and as required by
law and regulationAssessing the patient's physical and mental
health including the patient's reaction to illnesses and treatment
regimensRecording and reporting the results of the nursing
assessmentPlanning, initiating, delivering, and evaluating
appropriate nursing actsTeaching, assigning, delegating to or
supervising other personnel in implementing the treatment
regimenCollaborating with other health care providers in
determining the appropriate patient and family-centered plan of
care for the patient and the family and ensures the implementation
of the interdisciplinary plan of care is coordinatedImplementing
the treatment and pharmaceutical regimen prescribed by any person
authorized by State law to prescribe the regimenProviding teaching
and counseling about the patient's healthReporting and recording
the plan for care, nursing care given, and the patient's response
to that careSupervising, teaching, and evaluating those who perform
or are preparing to perform nursing functions and administering
nursing programs and nursing servicesProviding for the maintenance
of safe and effective nursing care, whether rendered directly or
indirectly.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be willing and able
to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless
