Summary: Leads the Produce team, overseeing daily operations, profitability, and team development, with a focus on customer service, sales targets, and inventory control.Responsibilities:

• Holds team members accountable for delivering excellent customer service
• Builds a positive work environment through teamwork, respect, and exceptional morale
• Makes hiring and separation decisions
• Monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor targets
• Maintains proper product assortment and inventory control
• Establishes and maintains relationships with department leaders and vendors
• Stays informed about competitors and industry trends
• Sets high standards for retail execution
• Maintains a positive customer environment and directs team members to satisfy customer needs
• Selects, trains, and develops team members to sustain a high-performance team
• Provides timely performance evaluations
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goalsRequirements:
  • Exceptional knowledge of competitors and industry trends
  • Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
  • Food safety certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills
  • Capable of teaching others in a positive manner
  • Product knowledge and regulatory policies
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and decision-making abilityExperience:
    • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experiencePhysical Requirements:
      • Lifts up to 50 pounds
      • Standing/walking for 6-8 hours
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
      • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
      • Ability to use tools and equipment
